Site work for a road / highway in Washington, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
Road lines will be applied in conformance with the latest version of the "Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices" (MUTCD) or as closely to the MUTCD as is possible as interpreted by the Town. The lists of roads to be painted is attached. The contractor must complete all work on or before June 28, 2024. The Town of Barre is seeking bids for road line painting. The contract includes 79,935 feet of double yellow center lines, 140,890 feet of white edge lines and 1,300 feet of dashed white line. The Barre Town Select board reserves the right to waive technicalities and to award the contract that it deems in the best interest of the Town. The Selectboard reserves the right to change the quantity of work. Award of the contract is expected on Tuesday, April 23; however, bids must be valid for thirty (30) days. The Town reserves the right to conduct panel tests to verify specified thickness, as well as resistance to bleeding, discoloration, and water disintegration as outlined in AOT Standard Specification Section 708.08.
