Bids for the Seward County Courthouse Re-Roof in Liberal, KS. will be accepted by the Owners Representative Stacia Long, County Clerk of Seward County Project will consist of complete removal and replacement of existing roofing and insulation down to deck of portions of building Construction Contract Stipulated Sum Single Prime Contract Bids will be received for the Work. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities Solicitations from qualified minority and women owned businesses, firms and individuals are encouraged by Seward County. This encouragement does not infer preference and all solicitations will be evaluated equally. All purchases shall give preference to Seward County merchants when applicable. Award shall be made to the best bidder within Seward County when the amount is not more than five percent (5%) higher than the best out-of-county bid. The successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to Liquidated Damages at the rate of $350.00 per day.
