Borough of Laurel Springs will receive sealed bids for the 2nd & 3rd Floor Borough Hall Alterations at the Cord Mansion in accordance with the bid documents therefor. General Contractors, and any subcontractors in the following classifications, must be pre-qualified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction. Classifications for this project are: Prime/Bidding Contractor C008 General Construction or C009 General Construction / Alterations and Additions, Prime Subcontractors, C030 Plumbing, C039 HVAC, C047 Electrical. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified or cashier's check payable to the Borough of Laurel Springs for ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, or an acceptable bid bond. A "Consent of Surety" or "Bid Letter" from an approved surety company stating that they will provide payment performance and completion bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, if a contract is awarded, must also accompany the bid. Bids must include the completed Corporate Ownership Disclosure, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and the No Material Change of Circumstances Affidavit forms. Refer to the other bidding requirements described in the Instruction to Bidders and Supplemental Instructions to Bidders. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27) (Anti-Discrimination Law). All successful bidders shall comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Affirmative Action Regulations, and N.J.A.C. 10:5-31 et seq. (Equal Employment Opportunities for Minorities and Women) and submit the appropriate documentation. It is agreed by submission of a proposal that the bid price shall be irrevocable for a period of sixty (60) days from the bid opening date. The Borough of Laurel Springs reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in any bid or bids, to accept such bid or bids, and to make such awards as may be in the best interests of the Borough of Laurel Springs. All questions must be submitted in writing to the Architect's office by 4:00 PM, November 29, 2023. If required, faxed addenda will be sent to bidders November 30, 2023.
