Site work and paving for a road / highway in Laurel Springs, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All bids must either be hand-delivered to the Municipal Building or sent by certified mail, return receipt requested, to the Municipal Building prior to the time and date when the bids will be opened. Bids will not be received after the specified time. Each proposal must state the name and address of person,firm or corporation interested in the same as a principal. Notice of revisions or addenda to advertisements or bid documents relating to bids shall be provided no later than seven (7) days, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted, prior to the date for acceptance of bids, to any person who has submitted a bid or received a bid package in the following ways: i) in writing by certified mail or ii) by certified facsimile transmission, meaning that the sender's facsimile machine produces a receipt showing date and time of transmission and that the transmission was successful or iii) by a delivery service that provides certification of delivery to the sender. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope, addressed to the Borough Clerk, Borough of Laurel Springs, and identified as bid for: "Laurel Springs 2024 Road Program". The Borough Council and its Solicitor will be the sole discretionary body for consideration or rejection of the proposals. If the contract documents are to be mailed there is an additional $20.00 fee for postage. The proposed work included in this bid is described in the Project Description Section below. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS: Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. BID SECURITY: Must be in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount is required and should be made payable to the Borough of Laurel Springs. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept the bid which best appears to be in their best interest. The owner also reserves the right to consider any proposal invalid which considers furnishing said items which do not conform strictly with that specified. If a non conforming proposal is not discovered at the time of the bid opening, the owner reserves the right to reject said proposal at any time prior to execution of the contracts by them. The New Jersey Prevailing Wage Rates shall be made a part of every contract for the performance of the described work where applicable. The proposed base bid work includes approximately 5,000 SY of pavement milling; 620 tons of HMA 9.5M64surface course paving; selective base repair; 400 LF of concrete curb replacement; inlet reconstruction and casting replacement; removal of existing 18" RCP storm sewer and replacement with 18" DIP; 125 SY of concrete sidewalk replacement; selective concrete driveway apron replacement; tree removal; traffic striping and signage, and related appurtenances on West Atlantic Avenue.Also included in the project is Alternate Bid #1which includes approximately 1,200 SY of pavement milling; 150 tons of HMA 9.5M64surface course paving; selective base repair; replacement of 100 LF of monolithic curb and gutter; tree removal; traffic striping and signage, and related appurtenances on South Avenue *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
