Site work for a water / sewer project in Costa Mesa, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves the removal and replacement of approximately 15 feet of 8" sewer main on American Avenue, in Costa Mesa, Ca. The project will include approximately 576 s.f. of grind and overlay of the existing A.C. pavement, and the excavation and backfill of a small (19 C.Y.) sink hole. The Engineer's Estimate is $86,400. Contractors and subcontractors must be registered with DIR. o A or C42 Contractor's License is required. o Contracts over $25,000 require a labor and material bond and a faithful performance bond, both in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. No bidder's bond is required. o After Notice to Proceed is issued, contractor shall begin work and complete within 45 working days. o Successful bidder will be required to enter into a comprehensive contract with District. (See attached sample contract.) o District may request references after bids are received. o Contractor to provide engineered traffic control plans to be approved by the city of Costa Mesa and all other incidental items required for a turnkey installation The Costa Mesa Sanitary District (District or CMSD) has adopted the Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (UPCCAA) and this project falls in the Informal Bidding range in accordance with bid limits adopted by the District.
