The City is soliciting proposals from qualified consultant firms to assist with Solid Waste consulting for SB 1383 compliance (hereinafter referred to as "Services") for the City's Environmental Services Division, in accordance with the terms and conditions prescribed in this RFP. The City has already adopted ordinance No. 3006, based on guidance from the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle), for SB 1383 compliance and implementation. The City has an exclusive franchise agreement with Valley Vista Services to haul all municipal solid waste, recyclables, organics, and construction and demolition waste. The City provides a 3-stream collection system for garbage, recycling, and organics. Respondents are advised to review the City ordinance and the information in this RFP carefully prior to submitting a proposal.
