This Project includes the repair of Asphalt/Concrete Cuts within the City of Columbia Service Area, and will include the repairs throughout Water Districts 2, 3, & 5. The work includes the repair of asphalt and concrete within existing roadways and driveways, the repair of concrete sidewalks and concrete curb & gutter within City of Columbia, SCDOT, and County Roadways. Location: Various locations in Water Districts 2, 3 and 5 located in and around Columbia, SC. Questions Deadline: 12/1/2023 12:00 PM (ET) All Bidders must provide a copy of their South Carolina Contractor s License with their bid and shall have the required classification for the scope of the work. a certified check payable to the order of The City of Columbia, and drawn upon a national bank or a bank and trust company doing business in the State of South Carolina, in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the amount of the bid, to guarantee that the successful Bidder will within ten (10) days from the date of the notice of award of contract, enter into a contract with the Owner, and execute to said Owner a Performance and Payment bond, the contract and bond to be in the form set forth in the contract, bond and specifications referred to in the Advertisement for Bids. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty) Contractor shall pay Owner Three Hundred Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($350.00) per day for each calendar day of delay until the Work is complete as determined for both periods of substantial completion and final completion. The undersigned hereby agrees that the City has the right to reject any or all bids and the undersigned shall not dispute the quantities used in preparing the bids. Contractor shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount at least equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the amount of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for payment of all persons performing labor on the project
