Upgrades to the active municipal waste pit to improve water management including roadworks and drainage piping. .1 The Contractors responsibility is to furnish labour and equipment to: .1 Provide access to Work to be inspected and tested. 2 Facilitate inspections and conduct tests. .3 Make good Work disturbed by inspection and test. .4 Obtain field samples and related laboratory testing. .5 Provide assistance as required to the Consultant. 2Notify the Consultant sufficiently in advance of operations to allow for assignment of laboratory personnel and scheduling of tests. 3Reporting: The Contractor's testing agency to be authorized and directed by Contractor to copy the Consultant directly with results of all testing completed. 4 Where materials are specified to be tested, deliver representative samples in required quantity to testing laboratory. .5 Pay costs for uncovering and making good Work that is covered before required inspection or testing is completed and approved by the Consultant. Provide excavator test holes to the depth directed by the Consultant whenever requested to assist in evaluation of soils at no additional cost to the project. .6Inspection by the Consultant shall include visits to the Site as may be required to review execution of the design and to give field guidance for the assistance of the Contractor. At no time shall this inspection service relieve the Contractor of any responsibility for defects from faulty works, materials, errors or omissions. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond written on the Community's standard bid bond form (Form C) or on a form satisfactory to the Community. The amount of the Bid Bond shall be ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Total Bid Price, expressed as a percentage.
