Indefinite Quantity Job Order Contract for General Construction. Liquidated Damages See E.7 for mandatory liquidated damages related to MBE where applicable to State-funded projects. Proposal Security will not be required since this is a unit job order contract. Performance and Payment Bonds, however, will be required for individual projects that exceed $50,000. Proposer must submit a notarized letter from Surety that the Surety will provide performance and payment bonds should the proposer received an individual purchase order in excess of $50,000. The Department of Design and Construction, St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS), Leonardtown, Maryland, invites Sealed Proposals from qualified contractors for a multi-year indefinite quantity job order contract for general construction at various school sites. Proposals will be evaluated based on experience, qualifications, and price. There is no guaranteed minimum amount for this contract. In the event multiple awards are made, SMCPS shall have the right to select one of the contractors based on specific project requirements, workload, or MBE subcontractor participation for a particular project or may request proposals from all contractors awarded contracts under this procurement. General Scope The Work under the Contract includes all work identified in the Contract Documents and is generally described as alterations and modifications of school facilities. The form of contract delivery is an IQC based on unit prices. This shall serve as the Contract Agreement. Specific work shall be described and authorized on individual purchase orders. The Contract Documents shall include the scope of work, specifications, and plans provided through individual purchase orders. All Work authorized by purchase order shall reference and be performed according to the general conditions for this Contract. Clarification of the proposal documents or Requests for Information must be received prior to 2:00p.m. on December 13, 2023. Requests can be emailed to cwking@smcps.org or vajohnston@smcps.org. Only requests submitted in writing will be addressed. There will be no pre-proposal conference. Proposals received after the stated time will be rejected and returned unopened. Event Bid description: No Faxed Proposals will be accepted. Offerors mailing proposals should allow sufficient mail delivery time to insure timely receipt by the Issuing Office. Proposals or unsolicited amendments to proposals arriving after the closing time and date will not be considered. Because of the rural location of the SMCPS, Federal Express will not guarantee delivery to the SMCPS by any specific time.
