The includes the removal of existing windows that are mostly original to the building built in 1953 by the Airforce. We know the there is asbestos and lead in portions of the window system and adjacent walls. The owner is concurrently seeking bids from abatement contractor to work alongside the window installation. More details will be discussed in pre-bid walkthrough. We are seeking a contractor to install new windows and doors in a manner that meets all specifications and appropriate codes. It is expected that the glazing contractor will work with the abatement contractor to avoid excessive use of temporary enclosures. If the construction value is $50,000 or greater a Bid Bond and Power of Attorney or Proposal Guaranty is required in an amount not less than 5% of the total Bid.
