The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide: East Metro Inspection Pit Replacement For the Regional Transportation District For this Contract, RTD has specified a SBE goal of Fifteen percent (15%) for the work to be performed. This project includes the replacement of various components of the existing RTD East Metro Inspection Pit, including: miscellaneous structural steel, steel grating, steel tread plate, fire protection components, and mechanical and electrical components as described in the SOW and Drawings. Written questions from prospective bidders are to be received in the procurement portal. December 20, 2023, 2:00pm This project consists of the restoration of four (4) inground inspection pits at RTD's East Metro Facility. The project will include: Removal of multiple structural steel elements of the pits and installing new structural steel elements in a new configuration. Replacement of various areas of the structural concrete deck adjacent to the pits. Removal and replacement of parts of the mechanical ventilation system. Removal and replacement of the pits lighting system. Removal and replacement of the pits fire suppression system. The work on the pits must be phased to ensure three (3) pits are usable at all times. This IFB will also include a request for alternative additional pricing to replace all the drive lane grating. The period of performance is 1 year.
