Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Texas City, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
Scope of Work of the Contract includes construction of the proposed Beacon Point Lift Station and the proposed improvements to Lago Mar Lift Station No. 1. The work for Beacon Point Lift Station includes, but is not limited to, construction of an ten-foot (10') diameter concrete wet well including 100% solids epoxy coating, complete with two (2) submersible pumps, riser piping, valves, coatings, concrete fence and gates, site work, concrete access drive, concrete pavement and bollards, one (1) hosebib and hoserack, 1- 1/2 " PVC potable water piping, 12" PVC on-site sanitary sewer force main and connection to off-site sanitary sewer force main stub out, one (1) on-site sanitary sewer manhole, 18" ductile iron on-site influent sanitary sewer, 12" PVC on-site sanitary sewer and connection to off-site sanitary sewer, one (1) on-site Type A storm water inlet, 24" RCP on-site storm sewer and connection to off-site 24" RCP storm sewer stub out, on-site piping, one (1) 125-kW natural gas engine driven generator with sound attenuated weatherproof level 2 enclosure, generator concrete pad, natural gas line and meter, automatic transfer switch, load bank testing, electrical service, electrical service rack, disconnect switches, conduit, wire, lift station control panel, automatic controls, service rack and control panel concrete pad, terminal boxes, instrumentation, lighting, miscellaneous electrical, sunshade canopy, site restoration, fencing, and all else as shown on the construction drawings and detailed in the specifications for a fully functioning facility, complete as specified. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or a certified or cashier's check, acceptable to the Owner, in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount Bid, as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into the Contract and execute the Bonds on the forms provided, and provide the required insurance certificates within seven (7) days after the date Contract Documents are received by the Contractor. If a certified or cashier's check is provided, the successful bidder shall deliver, at the bid opening address, the original certified or cashier's check within twenty-four (24) hours of receipt of the bid opening. Question Deadline 12/13/2023 at 12:00 PM CT. The successful bidder must furnish a performance bond and a payment bond each in the sum of 100 percent of the Contract Price The successful bidder must also provide a one-year (1) Maintenance Bond for one hundred (100) percent of the cost of the construction of the improvements that will be owned by Galveston County Municipal Utility District No. 57. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive all defects and irregularities in bidding or bidding process except time of submitting a Bid. The Successful Bidder, if any, will be the responsible Bidder which in the Board's judgment will be most advantageous to the District and result in the best and most economical completion of the Project. Bidders desiring further information or further interpretation of any part of the Contract Documents are hereby obligated to submit a written request online to the www.CivcastUSA.com system for such information to Engineer not less than seven (7) calendar days before the Bid opening.
