The District is planning to rehabilitate and repurpose the existing playgrounds at Bridgeview Elementary School, Riverdale Heights Elementary School, and Pleasant View Elementary School. It is the intent of the School Board to provide an economical, safe, and updated play area for the District's students and the general public at these three facilities, while eliminating all of the existing loose material used for fall safety and to replace it with Unitary Surfacing. The specific Project needs of each are broken down as follows and exhibits are included in Appendix A of this RFQ. Respondents should provide qualification based on addressing all six (6) playgrounds over a two (2) year period using the phased schedule provided below. All areas listed are approximate. The District will employ a site contractor, under separate contract, to prepare the site prior to the playground surfacing and equipment installation commencing. The District proposes to engage with a highly-qualified and capable vendor to provide and install playground equipment for six(6) Elementary schools serving children in Pre-K through 6th grade. The total scope of the Project is to be broken down into two (2) phases to be completed over two (2) year The District is rehabilitating and repurposing the existing playground spaces at all 6 (six) of its current elementary schools over a two year period. The first phase of this project will address three (3) of those schools: Bridgeview Elementary School, Riverdale Heights Elementary School, and Pleasant View Elementary School. Phase one design and construction is intended to be completed prior to the start of the 2024/2025 school year. Phase two design and construction is expected to be completed prior to the start of the 2025/2026 school year. Phase two (2) schools include Cody Elementary School, Forest Grove Elementary School, and Hopewell Elementary School. The District also reserves the right to consider any minor deviations from the Scope of Work and determine whether or not to accept such deviation.
