Completed plans call for the addition of a 13,000-square-foot educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for the renovation of a 63,000-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The Board of Education of the Pleasant Valley Community School District, will receive sealed bids for an Addition and Renovation project at the Pleasant Valley High School. This project consists of a 63,000 square foot addition and 13,000 sf renovation and associated site work at Pleasant Valley High School located in Riverdale, IA. A Lump-sum combined bid for both projects will be received for: General Construction including Mechanical and Electrical Construction. Construction may begin following Owner receipt and approval of required Contracts, Bonds and Insurance. The Owner requires that Project be Substantially Complete on or before the 28 th day of July, 2025 for phase one classroom addition work and the 30 th of August, 2025 for phase two cafeteria interior renovation work and the 28 th of November, 2025 for phase three cafeteria addition work. Bidders will be required to provide security deposit in the form of a Bid Bond executed by a corporation authorized to contract as surety in the State of Iowa, cashiers or certified check drawn on a solvent Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or certified share draft drawn on a credit unitin Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States of a sum not less than 5 percent of the Base Price/Sum. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined in the Bid Documents. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities or irregularities allowed by law and to enter into such Contract or Contracts as may be deemed in the best interests of the Pleasant Valley Community School District.
