Webb County is soliciting Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) for Architectural Services for design, development of cost estimates, preparation of construction documents and construction administration for renovations to the Webb County fairgrounds Facility to include but not limited to Pavilion restrooms and concession area, outside restrooms, restaurant restrooms, restaurant walls/flooring and kitchen area. This document outlines the requirements, selection process and documentation necessary to submit a Statement of Qualification (SOQ) in response to this RFQ. This solicitation will comply with the State of Texas Government Code; Professional Services Procurement Act. Webb County Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All RFQ, to Waive Informalities in the RFQ Process, or to Terminate the RFQ Process at Any Time, if Deemed in the Best Interest for Webb County. Question Deadline 12/08/2023 at 5:00 PM CT Questions May Be Submitted by Respondents by Signing in to Our E-bid Portal and Using the Questions Tab for Submission by Published Deadline. All Questions Requiring an Official Response Will Be Posted on E-bids for All Interested Parties to Read in Accordance With Deadlines Published Under Section 1.41 ( RFQ Schedule of Events). Respondents Submitting Statement of Qualifications Must Be Licensed With the State of Texas in the Practice of Architecture in Accordance With the Texas Occupation Code; Chapter 1051. A Person May Not Engage in the Practice of Architecture, or Offer or Attempt to Engage in the Practice of Architecture, as Defined in Section 1051.001(7)(a), (B), or (C) Unless the Person is Registered as an Architect Under This Chapter. A Firm, Partnership, Corporation, or Association, Including a Firm, Partnership, Corporation, or Joint Stock Association Engaged in the Practice of Engineering Under Section 1001.405, May Engage in the Practice of Architecture, Represent to the Public That the Entity is Engaged in the Practice of Architecture or is Offering Architectural Services, or Use the Word "Architect" or "Architecture" in Any Manner in Its Name Only if Any Practice of Architecture or Architectural Service Performed on Behalf of the Entity is Performed by or Through a Person Registered as an Architect Under This Chapter. Webb County reserves the right to inspect any item(s) or service location(s) for compliance with specifications and requirements and needs of the using department. If a SOQ cannot furnish a sample of a proposed item for review, or fails to satisfactorily show an ability to perform, the County can reject the Offeror as inadequate.
