As of March 5, 2025, this project is in the design phase. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. Riverton City is requesting RFPs for an engineering firm to file all of the appropriate paperwork, and complete the engineering design to convert the Steffenoff Well (Riverton Well ID WS008) from a Culinary water source to a Secondary water source. The Steffenoff Well was a Culinary Water Source for Riverton City. In 2014 the City went to Jordan Valley Water for Culinary Water and in doing so stopped pumping culinary well water. The Water Department would like to use that water by converting that well into a secondary water source, putting the water into our secondary water system. Scope of Work Appropriate Paperwork Consultant will file all the appropriate paperwork with the state and obtain any permits needed to convert the Steffenoff Well from a Culinary water source to Secondary water source. Finalized Plans, Construction Blueprints, Bidding Once the proper paperwork isfiled and permits are obtained (if needed). The consultant will provide engineering services to adjust the building, piping, pumps ext. to put the water into the secondary water system. Develop finalized plans and construction blueprints to complete the work needed to make the conversion. Assist the City in bidding the project by providing a list of suggested contractors to use for the construction of the project, participating in a pre-bid meeting and/or addressing questions during the bidding process and upon the completion of the bid, review responses, make award recommendations and develop contract documents.
