The District of Hope is requesting proposals from qualified individuals and/or corporate entities interested in providing two related Flood Management Plans. First, a Sub-Regional Flood Hazard Management Plan related to the Lower Coquihalla watershed from the Coquihalla Lakes, through the District and down the Fraser River to include Chawathil First Nation Reserve #4 (approximately six kilometers west of the District). This Plan would take into account First Nation's reserve lands located within the boundaries of the District and slightly west, and slightly north of the District. It would also include the Coquihalla River southwest from the Coquihalla Lakes through to Hope (see Appendix B). The jurisdictions utilizing this Plan will be the Chawathil, Yale, and Union Bar First Nations along with the Fraser Valley Regional District. Second, an updated Flood Management Plan for the District of Hope proper.
