Project Summary This project includes, and is the contractor's responsibility to remove/install new play structures, rubber surfacing and relocation (removal/re installation) of fencing, at the Lawlor, Arlington, Hennessey and Rollins Schools. The Lawrence Public Schools is seeking bids from contractors interested in providing and installing new playground equipment at multiple school locations. Work includes the removal and proper disposal of existing equipment and installation of new equipment and related items. Last Day to Submit Written Questions Wednesday, December 13, 2023, by 3:00 PM Questions concerning this IFB must ONLY be submitted in writing to Walter Callahan, Lawrence Public School's Procurement Director, before 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Questions may be mailed, delivered, or emailed to Walter.Callahan@lawrence.k12.ma.us. Written responses will be posted on the City's website at Electronically. Bid Deposit: Bidders must submit a five percent (5%) bid deposit with their bid. The bid deposit must be in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety company certified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; a certified treasurer's or cashier's check drawn on a responsible bank or trust company payable to the City of Lawrence. Payment & Performance Bond Requirements: The bidder awarded the contract is required to submit within (5) five days a 50% Payment Bond drawn on a responsible bank or trust company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and made payable to the City of Lawrence. The City reserves the right to cancel this IFB or reject in whole or in party any and all bids, if the City determines that cancellation or rejection serves the best interests of the City. Completion of the Work: The project start date shall be on or around June 20, 2024, and completion no later than 8/23/24
