Scope of Work: Remove and replace roof sections G1 to G6, G(X)1 to G(X)8, F, F1 to F4, and K2. See project drawings and manual for all work areas as there are five (5) types of roof system assemblies. In general, the existing roof systems shall be removed down to existing decks and install new roof systems with associated metals, flashings, ladders, and walk mats. See Sheet R0.01 of drawings for more detailed scope of work description per roof section type. All questions shall be submitted in writing directly to WCSD's Solicitations website at electronically or via e-mail to solicitations@washoeschools.net by 4:30 p.m. (Local Time) on December 29, 2023. During this active solicitation there shall be no personal contact with any WCSD employees or other parties associated with this project directly. All inquiries shall be done in writing as stated above. The physical work is to be commenced upon issuance of a "Notice to Proceed". Work shall be completed on or before August 1, 2024. Each individual bid shall be accompanied by a surety company issued Bid Bond or by a Certified or Cashier's Check made payable to the Washoe County School District, in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, said amount to be forfeited to WCSD, should the Contractor to whom the Contract is awarded fail to enter into the Contract in accordance with the Contractor's bid and any other contract documents and furnish the required bonds within ten (10) days after the delivery of notice of such award. Bid Bonds, upon request, or deposits of the unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon signing of Contract, or within forty-five (45) days from bid date, whichever is earlier. Contractor must agree that Owner may retain from the monies due the Contractor Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000) per day (Liquidated Damages) as a direct result of the Contractor's delay or for not completing the project in the required time allowance plus approved time extensions. The right is reserved by WCSD to reject any and all bids or accept the bid, which is deemed by WCSD to be in the best interest of the school district. WCSD also reserves the right to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in the submitted bids.
