Site preparation, project management, prepare site foundation and final water, sewer, electrical and communications connections of a four-bathroom concrete building to be located on the Paul Revere Heritage Site in Canton, MA 12/1/23-12/15/23 All Questions and additional information requested from prospective bidders will be addressed and posted to: Randy Scollins at rscollins@town.canton.ma.us and Alan Hines at ahines0131@gmail.com All vendors interested in proposing on this RFP should send an e-mail to Randy Scollins at rscollins@town.canton.ma.us by December 13, 2023 so that they can be kept informed on modifications to this RFP and the responses to other vendor inquiries The Town of Canton MA (the Town) is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the site preparation, project management and final connections of a four-bathroom concrete building (specifications shown in Exhibit A) that will be delivered to the Paul Revere Heritage site. The site preparation must be performed in accordance with the specifications outlined in the building specifications shown in the following detailed documents. The compacted base for the building will be tested by an independent third party and must comply with the required specifications prior to the delivery of the building. The successful bidder will oversee the delivery and final connections of the water, sewer, electricity, fiberoptic cable line. The building being delivered is a precast concrete four door bathroom as shown in the specifications. The unit has a reinforced concrete base with an opening for the utilities. The manufacturer specifications require that the site be prepared in accordance with its detailed specifications in order to be warranted. These specifications include a substrate base of crushed stone, compacted and tested to meet the specifications outlined in the detailed specifications. The Town is also seeking an additional alternate optional bid to install a concrete frost wall, per the attached specifications. At this time, the Town of Canton has not determined whether it will install the frost wall, however, responses to this proposal should include a proposed cost and any additional information the bidder choses to include in the proposal for this option. The Town of Canton, has already approved all zoning and building specifications for the installation of the unit based on the manufacturer specification and the detailed specifications attached. The selected vender will coordinate the delivery activities with the manufacturer and make the final connections in accordance with the manufacturing specification and all applicable Massachusetts Building Code, including specialized codes listed within Massachusetts General Law Chapter 143, Section 96. Vendor services shall be subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage rates.
