Renovation of an educational facility in Wakefield, Massachusetts. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a 259,847-square-foot educational facility.
As of March 28, 2024, bids were rejected. No plan for rebid. A new Wakefield Memorial High School will be constructed at 60 Farm Street and will consist of approximately 259,847 gross square feet and will serve grades 9-12 with a student population of 1,000. The project site is approximately 19.3 acres, comprising Beasley Oval (the existing track and field), the existing high school building, parking acreage, and an area of wetland resources. Exterior work will include completion of new site improvements, culvert, underground utilities, surface parking, track and field with synthetic turf, and other outdoor gathering and learning spaces. The Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) participation goal is 4.2% and the Women Business Enterprise (WBE) participation goal is 8.8% for a combined goal of 13.0%. Please note only firms certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) as MBE or WBE can be credited toward meeting the project MBE and WBE goals. The workforce participation goals are 6.9% for Women and 15.3% for Minorities. Deadline for Questions: January 2, 2024 The new Wakefield Memorial High School will consist of approximately 259,847 gross square feet and will serve grades 9-12 with a student population of 1,000. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Elevator Trade scope = $450,000 order of magnitude estimate. Prequalification will be conducted by the WMHS PBC/SBC Prequalification Subcommittee.
