Work shall consist of furnishing all the material, labor, equipment and incidentals required for removing and disposing of the existing 40 KW natural gas generator and transfer switch in accordance with EPA standards. Contractor shall install a concrete pad for the new generator, install a new 40 KW natural gas generator, a new transfer switch, cables and make all necessary electrical connections for full function of the new 40 KW stand by generator system at 8954 Shermer Road (Morton Grove Fire Station 5). Contractor shall confirm existing gas pressures are satisfactory and be responsible for modifications to gas regulators as necessary for efficient generator function. All work shall be completed in compliance with the most recent OSHA and ANSI Standards. All work shall comply with the technical specification and the standards identified in the technical specifications. Unless excused in writing by the Village Administrator or his designee, all bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the full amount of the bid. All work under this contract shall comply with all applicable local ordinances and state and federal statues including without limitation the Prevailing Wage Act of the State of Illinois, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. & the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act (30 ILCS 570/0.01 et. seq). Offers may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the Bid Opening Date without the consent of the Village Administrator or his designee. Any Bid submitted unsealed, unsigned, received via fax, or email or received subsequent to the aforementioned date and time, may be disqualified and returned to the Bidder. The Village of Morton Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bid procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Village.
