Renovation of a municipal facility in Roseburg, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project consists of installation of a fire protection system in the north end of Maintenance Building 502 as illustrated in the contract drawings. The building is a 1984 era, open bay steel framed structure. The project area consists of approximately 4,800 square feet with approximately 250 square feet of interior office. Related work is illustrated in the Contract Documents. The contractor will coordinate fire protection water supply locations with the adjacent Crew Room project and be responsible for final connection. Since actual damage will be difficult to determine, it is agreed that CONTRACTOR shall pay to OWNER, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages, $300.00 per calendar day for each day elapsed in excess of the Substantial Completion date specified in Section 3 of this Agreement until Substantial Completion is achieved.
