Door Control System Replacement and Various Major Maintenance Projects at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility (NERCF) and Caledonia Community Work Camp (CCWC) located in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The primary objective of this project is to replace the Door Control, Camera, and Perimeter Intrusion Detection (PID) Systems. This project also includes various other major maintenance repairs to meet the security, operational, and maintenance needs of the Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS). The main component of this project will be the replacement of the Door Control, Camera, and PID systems. This work will require a phased relocation of incarcerated individuals to another facility's gymnasium while units are under construction. Relocation also provides BGS with the opportunity to complete other deferred Major Maintenance tasks while units are unoccupied. Install temporary sleeping bunks (boats). Assume the state will provide boats, CM to transport to the facility and set on the floor. Install the lock-together rubber floor mats over the existing gym. Rubber floor mats shall be provided by the State, but the CM will have to transport them from a storage facility in Barre, VT, to the facility. PROJECT BUDGET: The project estimate, which includes all pre-construction and construction services, costs and fees, General Conditions, Cost of Work, and project contingencies, is $5,000.000.00.
