A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond in the amount of his bid and shall, before entering on the work of said contract, be licensed as a contractor of the WWTA.The bidding Contractor must be licensed in appropriate classification before such bid will be considered and shall comply with applicable codes, laws, and regulations. The successful bidder will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, for each bond. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity or reject any or all bids. Hamilton County Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)procedures will be part of the bid evaluation. Any Bidder unfamiliar with this policy should contact the DBE Liaison at (423)209-6146. We encourage all small and minority owned firms and women business enterprises to participate. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No Bid may be withdrawn within 120 days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Bidders must agree to comply with Prevailing Wage Rate provisions per the Tennessee Department of Labor in addition to the Federal Davis-Bacon Act, whichever is higher. The contract entails the construction of9,900 lf of open cut 12-inch HDPE force main installation along East Brainerd Road, repair and repaving of East Brainerd Road. The scope of the project will include all bypass pumping, property and pavement restoration, and any necessary tools or equipment required to complete the work according to the specification.
