Renovation of a library in North Bend, Oregon. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.

Two of the library's heating and air units are out of service. Unit #1, a 7.5-ton split system unit CARRIER Model #38ARQ1008-5, has a failed compressor and blower fan. This unit is approximately 14 years old and serves the library's lobby area at the main entrances. Unit #2, TRANE Model #4TWB3018C1000AA, has a failed compressor. This unit is approximately 11 years old and serves a conference room. The units provide both heating and cooling. An initial assessment of the units resulted in the following scope of work. Appointments to inspect the units may be scheduled by contacting the library. Please provide cost estimates for all materials, labor, and services for the repair and/or replacement of the North Bend Public Library's Unit #1 and Unit #2. Specifications and scope of work: Unit #1 1. Provide and install (1) new 7.5-ton outdoor heat pump condenser. 2. Provide and install (1) new 7.5-ton indoor air handler. 3. Provide and install (1) new economizer. 4. Provide and install (1) new thermostat. 5. Provide and install (1) new duct smoke detector. 6. Provide and install remote test station for smoke detector. 7. Provide electrical disconnect and reconnect. 8. Provide ductwork modifications where needed. 9. Provide crane for removal of outdoor condenser. 10. Remove and dispose of existing 7.5-ton Carrier split system. Unit #2 1. Replace failed compressor, filter drier, line set, and insulated line set. 2. Charge unit with refrigerant to factory specifications. For both units: 1. Provide all necessary permits, including but not limited to electrical and crane permits. 2. Provide start up and owner training. The City may reject or accept any or all quotes or parts thereof submitted in response to this solicitation. If no acceptable quotes are received, the City reserves the right to reject all and re-advertise at the City's sole discretion
