As of February 26, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The Project is expected to be awarded on February 28, 2024 during the Board Meeting. The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit bids and establish a partnership with a vendor/contractor or multi contractors to replace the gym VCT flooring with hardwood flooring as specified at a location being 28015 Joy Rd. Westland, MI 48185. This RFP will select a vendor/contractor or multi contractors to plan and/or coordinate the replacement of the gym VCT flooring with hardwood flooring per all construction and/or manufacturers documents, blue print specifications, MDEQ, county, state, Authorizer and Academy's approvals. The vendor/contractor or multi contractors will work diligently with the school representatives during the planning stage for all site installation and construction documents in a timely fashion. The academy will negotiate its equipment/construction contract with the vendor/contractor or multi contractors during this planning period and hope to finalize its agreement within 15 days of receiving approval by MDE and the Academy Board of Directors. There are no guarantees implied or stated here to warrant this contract until an agreement is reached between the academy and the vendor/contractor or multi contractors. The flooring must be installed in a timely manner with a timeline determined by all parties. The school operates its school schedule on the following basis: 1. The regular school days for students are 7:55 a.m. through3:10 p.m. Monday - Thursday. 2. Fridays, school hours are 7:55 a.m. through 12:50 p.m. 3. The school year began on August 28, 2023 and ends on or about June 14, 2024 for all students. All school days Mondays through Fridays are full days for staff. Late responses will not be considered. Evaluation of Proposals 2/13/2023 - 2/28/2024 The Board of Directors and or its Committee will validate and evaluate all proposed documents received as below by Wednesday, February 28th,2024 at a public meeting which will be held at the academy located at 28015 Joy Rd.
