The Unified Government is seeking pricing from qualified contractors to perform Landscape & Grounds Maintenance operations
for the Fairfax Industrial District of Kansas City, Kansas. Currently there are two tower sign locations, with two additional tower sign locations to be added either later this year or early
2024. Installation and maintenance will be needed for all four locations. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all labor, tools, special equipment, materials, supplies, supervision, and
transportation to perform the landscaping installation and maintenance services as specially outlined below:
The landscaping includes the following installations: For the tower sign located at 7th & Funston Road, please refer to the Drawing labeled 7th Street. This location will need a 20' x 15'
foot curved shaped area landscaping installation. Beginning with the removal of all brush, debris, all plants and grass. Clean out
the area down to the bare soil. Installation of Buckskin Edge-stone as per the drawing. Installation of a spun landscape fabric or
non-woven landscape fabric weed barrier. Installation of multicolor river rock stones of 1-3 inches in size at a depth of 2-3 inches.
For the current tower sign located at 1322 Fairfax Trafficway and Bartlett Grain Elevators, please refer to the Drawing labeled
Fairfax Trafficway. The two additional signs will also use the Fairfax Trafficway Drawing. These three locations will need an 8-foot
diameter circle around the tower. Beginning with the removal of all brush, debris, all plants and grass. Clean out the area down to
the bare soil. Installation of Buckskin Edge-stone as per the drawing. Installation of a spun landscape fabric or non-woven
landscape fabric weed barrier. Installation of multicolor river rock stones of 1-3 inches in size at a depth of 2-3 inches
