Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Irondequoit, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a 825-square-foot municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.
The project is located at three different sites listed below where the Camp Eastman principally consists of two (2) new structures and related services to the new structures. One existing structure shall be demolished and removed from the site. The two new buildings shall be roughly 825 sf building for an accessible restroom for visitors, one near the spray park and the other by the soccer fields as Bid Alternate #1. The restroom includes a men's and women's restrooms with baby changing stations, drink fountains and sidewalks. The existing cabins and lodges will have a list of prescriptive cosmetic list of renovations. The Rotary, Veterans and Kiwanis Cabins are approx. 1000 sf and the Kusak and Spies Lodges are 1656 sf and 2308 sf respectively. The Town Hall backyard project is mostly paving and sidewalks and the Town Hall & Courts location are four restroom renovations. The contract breakdown are as follows: Contract 1 - General Construction/Site Contract at three sites: a. Camp Eastman: Construction of two (2) new slab on grade buildings with wood truss structure and walls for the new Restroom Buildings, one restroom at the soccer field will be Bid Alternate #1. The three (3) Existing Cabins are strictly cosmetic improvements including but not limited to Roofing, gutters, re-stain siding, flooring refinishing, drywall repair, and interior painting. In addition, the general construction contract will also cover all other work not identified under the other contracts. b. Town Hall Backyard project: Includes the construction of new sidewalks and paved parking areas, lighting, power for food trucks and the Bandshell Entertainment area as Bid Alternate #2. c. Town Hall & Courts Restroom Renovations: Includes the renovations to the two first floor restrooms at the town hall and two at the Courts for handicap accessibility with all new finishes accessories, and toilet partitions. Sealed bids must be made in writing on the forms furnished and shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee for an amount not less than five percent (5%). The Town Irondequoit is exempt under New York State Tax law, and therefore, no sales tax on the cost of materials incorporated into the project shall be included in the bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and labor and material bonds in accordance with the Instructions to bidders. All bidding questions or (RFI's) Requests for Information must be submitted by 5:00 pm on December 12, 2023 to dmclellan@labellapc.com & adoeller@irondequoit.gov a with the attached Bidding RFI request for information Form, page 3 of this section. The Town of Irondequoit reserves the right to consider bids for forty-five (45) days after the receipt before awarding any contract. The Town of Irondequoit further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept any Proposal or individual item or items, which it may deem to be the most favorable to its best interests.
