Rocky View County is conducting a comprehensive update of the County's Agriculture Master Plan. The AMP identifies a long-term vision (10 years) for supporting both existing agricultural operations and providing new opportunities for diversification of the County's agriculture sector. The current AMP is fairly prescriptive. Rocky View County would like to update the AMP to be a more higher-level document based around goals and best practices, which ensures the flexibility for the preservation and prosperity of our agriculture sector for future generations. In addition, to supporting the review and update of the AMP, the Scope of Work includes supporting updates to the agriculture section of the County's Municipal Development Plan (MDP; which is also currently under review. The MDP is the principal statutory planning document that guides the overall growth of the County and directs the composition of community planning documents. The updated AMP and MDP will need to be in alignment, and for this reason, the Scope of Work includes support for the review and update of both documents to ensure there is alignment and consistency. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
