As of February 15, 2024, project was awarded to the following contractors: Site Work - Cripps Fontaine with $10,900.00 Concrete - Early & Associates with $39,000.00 Masonry - Burggrabe Masonry with $45,100.00 Structural Steel - Custom Steel with $39,700.00 General Trades - 44th Street Construction with $151,690.00 Drywall / Acoustical - Bouma Betten with $30,930.00 Mechanical - Mall City Mechanical with $1,737,270.00 Electrical - Lumen Electric Inc with $140,294.00 Roofing - Arrow Roofing with $16,173.00 Total awarded amount is $2,211,057.00. Plainwell Community Schools will receive proposals from qualified contractors for Additions and Renovations at the Cooper Elementary located at 7559 North 14 th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 and Starr Elementary located at 601 School Drive, Plainwell, MI 49080. A bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid in the form of a bid bond, certified or cashiers' check is required and payable to Plainwell Community Schools. All proposals must include an Affidavit of Compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act. Applicable Michigan sales and use tax apply to this project. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in proposals. Proposals shall remain firm for sixty (60) days from date of bid opening.
