PRODUCTS OR SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED, AND APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS A. ALTERNATIVES / APPROVED EQUAL / DEVIATIONS Unless otherwise specified, the mention of a particular manufacturer's brand name or model/stock number in the specifications does not imply that this particular product is the only one that will be considered for purchase. This reference is intended solely to designate the type or quality of merchandise that will be acceptable. Alternate offers will be considered and must include descriptive literature, specifications and independent test lab report as specified. The determination as to whether any alternate product or service is or is not equal shall be made by the School District of Osceola County and such determination shall be final and binding upon all bidders. Although the School District of Osceola County provides for the consideration of alternate bids, it reserves the right to make an award in the best interest of the District, which award may not necessarily be given to the lowest bid offered. The bidder shall be responsible for reading very carefully, and understanding completely, the requirements and the specifications of the items bid upon. Any deviation from specifications listed herein must be clearly indicated, otherwise it will be considered that items offered are in strict compliance with these specifications, and the successful bidder will be held responsible. Therefore; deviations must be explained in detail on attached sheets and itemized by number. Any item(s) that does not meet the District's specifications upon delivery will not be accepted and if the item cannot be brought up to specifications in a reasonable time, the bidder will be required to compensate the District for the difference in price entailed in going to the next low bidder. B. SPECIFICATION FOR PLEATED DISPOSABLE FILTERS The filter shall consist of a cotton and synthetic media, support grid and enclosing frame. The filter shall be listed by the Underwriters' Laboratories as Class 2. The frame shall be manufactured with a minimum 24-point beverage board that is die cut cross directional to the grain for strength. The frame shall include diagonal support grids on the air entering and the air existing side of each pleat. Filters with support grid on only one (1) side will not be accepted. Filters with bottle capping or metal support grids will not be acceptable (this includes custom size filters). One (1) inch depth filters shall have a minimum of 16 pleats per linear foot of face area. Two (2) inch depth filters shall have a minimum of 16 pleats per linear foot of face area. The filters shall have a minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) of 10 when evaluated under ASHRAE Standard 52.2-2017. They shall have a MERV 10 when evaluated under Appendix J of the same Standard. C. PRICE SHEET INSTRUCTIONS The estimated quantities are listed to provide each bidder with an approximate annual usage. These quantities are to be used as a guide only, and in no way obligates the School District as to the exact quantities purchased. These numbers may be higher or lower depending on the School District's need at the time. All orders will be placed in case lots, estimated quantities are based on 1" filters with 24 filters per case, 2" filters with 12 filters per case and 4" filters with 6 filters per case. If your case quantity is different, indicate on price sheet. The "Balance of Product Line" percentage discount offered shall apply to all items. Any excluded items or pages must be clearly stated on your bid submittal form. If no exclusions are stated, the Board will use the discount on all items listed in the catalog or on the internet. Estimated Quantities x Each Price = Extended Costs Add Extended Costs for Item #1 thru Item #79 = Item #80 Grand Total Extended Costs.
