The City of Sarasota is seeking a Contractor to perform a 5-year inspection and cleaning on eight (8) water tanks as depicted in the Scope of Work. Three (3) water storage tanks will be drained, cleaned and inspected manually; the City will be responsible for the draining of the tanks. The remaining five (5) tanks will be inspected and cleaned by a diver. The Contractor will perform all tank cleaning and inspections; the City will be responsible for the disposal of the sediment. Please note: It is critical that all Dive Maintenance Technicians and associated in-tank equipment are fully disinfected in accordance with AWWA Standard C652-02. All system entries will be conducted in accordance with applicable OSHA regulations pertaining to Diving and Confined Space; including 1910.401 thru 1910.441. Added on Dec 15, 2023: Per Question #1, Table 1 and the Scope of Work and Specifications have been revised as follows: Two water storage tanks identified in Table 1 will be drained, cleaned and inspected manually. The CITY will be responsible for the draining of the tanks. The remaining six tanks will be inspected and cleaned by a diver.
