Renovation of a fitness / recreation center in Worden, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center.
As of February 13, 2024, project has not been awarded since the bids received were over the budget. No definite date for rebid. The proposed improvement is officially known as "RECREATION CENTER PHASE I" and consists of refurbishment of an existing gymnasium and appurtenances. A Project Labor Agreement and a DCEO Business Enterprise Program Utilization Plan are required for this project. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided in these Bidding Documents. Prospective bidders shall be skilled in the type of work called for in this Project and shall demonstrate same through the submission of a resume listing all pertinent projects performed within the last five (5) years as requested by the Engineer/Architect. The President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Worden reserve the right to reject any or all proposals. This utilization plan includes a specific Business Enterprise Program ("BEP") utilization goal of 11% based on the availability of certified vendors to perform the anticipated direct subcontracting opportunities of this plan. The goal is comprised of 4% MBE and 7% WBE and 0% PBE or a combined goal of 11%
