Work of this Contract comprises of: Removal of existing domestic water heaters, domestic hot water storage tanks, associated pumps, and piping including natural gas, domestic hot water supply, domestic hot water circulation, and domestic cold-water supply, and removal of remote domestic hot water circulation pumps. Installation of three new domestic water heaters, a new water storage tank, associated piping including domestic hot, circulation, and cold water; related fittings, system appurtenances, and connection to existing related systems. Installation of new natural gas piping from existing natural gas meter to new domestic water heaters and increasing the meters existing header size if necessary. Installation of new balancing valves, shutoff valves, and gauges to replace pumps removed in remote wings of the complex. The infection control procedures shall be the scope of work of the Region Infection Control Trade, directly working for the owner. Each bid shall be accompanied with security in the form of a Bid Bond in the amount of not less than 10% of the total Base Bid Price. Provide Performance Bond in the sum of at least fifty percent (50%) of the amount of the total Contract Price. Provide Labour and Material Payment Bond in the sum of at least fifty percent (50%) of the amount of the total Contract Price.
