Demolition, site work and new construction of a museum in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Design plans call for the demolition of a museum; for the construction of a museum; and for site work for a museum.
Per the owner, as of February 4, 2025, they are in schematic design phase now for the new building. The owner states that they first need to demolish the existing buildings on the land before new construction begins. A timeline for construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .............. The Mississippi Department of Archives and History (MDAH) is seeking qualifications from professional architectural service firms for building demolition and preplanning through administration of construction documents and construction oversight for a new Civil War Interpretive Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Any questions about the RFQ should be sent by email to VicksburgArchRFQ@mdah.ms.gov The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
