Site work and new construction of a warehouse / distribution facility in Toad River, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10,720-square-foot, one-story above grade warehouse / distribution facility; and for site work for a warehouse / distribution facility.

This is the Phase 2 solicitation following an Invitation to Qualify (Phase 1). Only qualified suppliers from Phase 1 have been invited to bid. Public Services and Procurement Canada, has a requirement for the design and construction of a new salt shed to replace the existing shed located at the Toad River Maintenance Yard, at KM 647 of the Alaska Highway in BC. The work under this contract includes but is not limited to: Mobilization and Demobilization Project Management and Quality Management. Demolition and disposal of the existing `coverall' fabric salt shed. Engagement of professional engineer(s) to complete the design of the new salt shed as per the requirements detailed in the contract performance specifications and contract drawings. Detach and re-attach existing geomembrane to allow removal of existing lock blocks and construction of footing. Supply and installation of the foundation designed for the loading of the salt shed building. Supply and installation of the salt shed building. Removal, stockpile, or disposal of existing lock blocks to permit construction, and supply and install new lock blocks. Protection of the existing geomembrane liner and associated works, or reinstatement of the same if damaged, modified, removed, or otherwise required. Excavation, transport, and placement of backfill materials. Surveys (construction layout, as-build survey, and others as required). Environmental protection. Grading of the site as per drawings. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $1,000,001.00 and $5,000,000.00 (GST included).
