Description

Renovation of a religious / funeral development in Princess Anne, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a religious / funeral development.

Work includes: 1) Repair/in-kind replacement of the gable roof between the two front towers on the west facade of the church, including any repair/replacement necessary to the roof structure/sheathing; 2) Repair or replace the framing on the interior of the building, which include wainscoting; and repair/replacement of all plaster (mud) on the internal walls and ceilings. This item (2) is imperative and historically prohibited the use of drywall. The project is partly funded by the MD Historical Trust. The Property is protected by a preservation easement that restricts alterations to the church and site. The project will be executed with the involvement and oversight of the State Historic Preservation Office (the Maryland Historical Trust, "MHT"). All work must be designed and executed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest proposal from a qualified firm conforming to the project schedule. The owners reserve the right to waive irregularities and to reject proposals. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to respond to this solicitation.
