Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a water / sewer project in Acworth, Georgia. Working plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of February 8, 2024 bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** The Project consists of designing and constructing an addition to the existing Maintenance Building to provide adequate space for personnel, equipment, and file storage. The construction will mimic the existing building with masonry cavity wall construction and a brick veneer for the exterior walls. The roofs will be open-web joists supporting metal decking, roof insulation, and standing seam metal roof panels. The addition will consist of a new combined building entrance for the existing building and the addition. The addition will house a large muster room, offices, a break room, restrooms, and mechanical and electrical rooms. Interior finishes are similar to the existing building with painted CMU walls, tiled restrooms, terrazzo floors in finished spaces and acoustical ceiling tiles, all as noted in the drawings. Associated mechanical, electrical and plumbing will be provided. Related site work is also included in the Work. The existing building will also receive some renovations to provide a unified appearance to the building as a whole once construction has been completed. The work will be awarded in one contract. By requesting the Request for Proposal, party agrees to having company information (company name, address, phone and fax numbers) published on a list as a . Copies of list will be available at Arcadis US, Inc. and proposal results will only be available at the CCMWA Procurement Office. The Owner is not obligated to consider a Proposer's proposal, if Proposer is not on record with the Issuing Office as having received a complete set of Request for Proposal from the Issuing Office. The time allowed for Substantial Completion and the time allowed for final completion and readiness for final payment will be a part of the Proposer's Proposal. Each Proposal must be accompanied by a Proposal Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount. Each Proposal must also be accompanied by a notarized Non Collusion Affidavit of Proposer, Contractor's License Certification, Affidavit Verifying Status for Cobb-County Marietta Water Authority Public Benefit Application, and Security and Immigration Compliance Act Certification. Out-of-state corporations and other entities must submit evidence of authority to conduct business in Georgia as an out-of-state entity. Each Proposer must be a State of Georgia licensed General Contractor at the time of the Proposal opening. The successful Proposer must employ and assign to the Project supervisory personnel trained and state certified at Level 1A - Fundamentals of the Georgia Erosion and Sediment Control training program. The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any Proposer in the preparation of its Proposer in response to this Invitation to Proposers. Proposers shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. The successful Proposer will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Contractor's Affidavit and Agreement with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The successful Proposer will also be required to furnish Pre-Construction Oath pursuant to O.C.G.A. 36-91-21 from every person who procures the Agreement. The successful Proposer shall also provide an executed Subcontractor Affidavit for each subcontractor working on the Project, using the form attached to the Agreement; Subcontractor Affidavits shall be submitted to the Cobb County Marietta Water Authority as each subcontractor is brought under contract during execution of the Project. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. All Proposals will remain subject to acceptance for sixty days after the day of the Proposal opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Proposal and return the Proposal security prior to that date. Any Proposer that contacts any of the Owner's elected officials or staff, or the Owner's consultant, Arcadis US, Inc. (except as allowed under Articles 2.2 and 2.3 of the Request for Proposal) directly or indirectly after the date of issue of this invitation for the purpose of influencing the selection process prior to award shall be immediately disqualified and removed from consideration. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Proposals, to waive informalities and re-advertise.
