This project consists of Phase I engineering services for the Weber Road multi-use trail improvements to close a north south gap between Bolingbrook and Naperville along Weber Road, and the east west connection between Weber Road and the DuPage River Trail to east. The forest preserve district of will county reserves the right to accept any proposal or any part or parts or combinations thereof, to waive any informalities, and to reject any or all proposals. The intent of this project is to provide Phase I engineering services for the DuPage River Trail, Weber Road multi-use trail improvements to close a north south gap between Bolingbrook and Naperville along Weber Road, and the east west connection between Weber Road and the DuPage River Trail to east. Project Components include: 1. Pre-Phase I & Phase I Engineering of a multi-use trail, roughly 1 mile in length, through IDOT. 2. Pedestrian bridge design, permitting, and coordination. 3. Grant Submittal Assistance for Phase II & III Funding. Project Parameters: 1. Feasibility study is included with this advertisement for reference. 2. Phase I Engineering will be funded with local funds. 3. Project schedule should align with federal funding opportunities. Assistance with the applications is incidental to the design and permitting services. 4. An intergovernmental Agreement between local partners is forthcoming. 5. The Consultant must be prequalified with IDOT. This scope of services is provided as a guide and will be used as a basis to evaluate proposals that are submitted to the Forest Preserve. Consultants may wish to clarify, separate, or subcontract work items to meet their firm's particular qualifications or expertise.
