The Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida (the "County") is seeking competitive bids for the CR 2 Over Long Creek Bridge Repair Project. Installation of a Crutch Bent, at Intermediate Bent 3, for the existing bridge on County Road 2 over Long Creek in Walton County, Florida. Crutch Bent consists of 18" square concrete piles, concrete pile caps and 36" Florida I Beams. Temporary Traffic Control is required during construction. The last date to submit questions is January 10th, 2024, no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to be directed in writing to waljames@co.walton.fl.us. Directing questions to any other staff, project engineer and any other person is prohibited and will result in bid being disqualified. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's base bid price made payable to Walton County Board of County Commissioners, and in the form of a certified bank check or a Bid Bond on the form attached, issued by a surety authorized to conduct business in the State of Florida and having an A. M. Best rating of V-A or better and who is listed on the United States Treasury Department's T-list as acceptable to issue bonds for the applicable dollar amount. Contractor shall substantially complete the Project within ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Final completion of the project shall be accomplished within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date a punch list of the remaining items to be completed is issued by the County.
