Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of Oseredok Park, located at the intersection of Alexander Park and Martha Street, and Waterfront Letters located on the east side of Waterfront Drive between Alexander Avenue and Galt Avenue. The major components of the Work are as follows: (a) Removal of sod, topsoil and subgrade to the depths required to accommodate new construction; (b) Removal of existing wood; (c) Removal of concrete blockout and stockpiling of unit pavers for re-use; (d) Protection of existing trees including root pruning of exposed tree roots; (e) Earthwork and grading; (f) Construction of new cast-in-place concrete header; (g) Construction of cast-in-place concrete bench including anti-skateboard guards; (h) Construction of cast-in-place concrete upstand; (i) Construction of cast-in-place metal arch foundation; (j) Construction of tyndal stone block foundation; (k) Concrete sidewalk with blockouts; (l) Placement of unit pavers; (m) Placement of paver restraint; (n) Galvanized and painted metal arch; (o) Tyndal stone blocks including dowels; (p) Helical piles for metal arch and tyndal stone block foundation; (q) Placement of planting beds with clay-rich planting medium and mulch; (r) Placement of trees; (s) Placement of perennials; (t) Sodding; and (u) Two (2) year landscape maintenance. The Contractor shall not commence the Work on the Site before May 1, 2024, and shall commence the Work on Site no later than May 20, 2024, as directed by the Contract Administrator and weather permitting. Substantial performance shall be achieved by July 5, 2024. A performance bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the form attached to these Supplemental Conditions (Form H1: Performance Bond), in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price; and A labour and material payment bond of a company registered to conduct the business of a surety in Manitoba, in the form attached to these Supplemental Conditions (Form H2: Labour and Material Payment Bond), in an amount equal to fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price.
