Asphalt Cement. The above material must meet current Michigan Department of Transportation specifications or Lenawee County Road Commission specifications. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of same, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in bids and to make the award in whole or in part as may appear to be in the best interests of the Lenawee County Road Commission and Lenawee County. Bidders must bid either (1) a maximum Asphalt Cement price (ceiling price) with abatement in price as market conditions warrant; or (2) a firm price throughout the 2024 paving season. Bidders with an anticipated abatement are advised to bid their best ceiling price, as no adjustment will be allowed until after the bid is awarded. Asphalt cement is to be delivered at 300-degree application rate to the job site in Lenawee County. Material will be F.O.B. plant site, located at 9293 Round Lake Highway Manitou Beach, Michigan 49253, approx. one mile north of US-223; all units must be self-unloading. Event Bid description: Proposals will be accepted on Road Commission form Only and are to be in a sealed envelope plainly marked Asphalt Cement. During this time period the bids are closed and information regarding the bids is not available. Bids will be awarded at the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting of the Board of County Road Commissioners following the due date for receipt of bids.
