Reference Number 0000337949 Whitaker Rd. Library Plaza Renovations Each proposal shall be accompanied by either a certified or cashier's check on an open, solvent bank or a bid bond with an authorized surety company in the amount of 5% of the base bid payable to the Owner as a guarantee of good faith. If the successful bidder fails to furnish satisfactory bonds and insurance within 15 days of notice of award, such guarantee shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages. The Bidder will be required to agree, if awarded a Contract, to begin work on or after August 12, 2024 and complete the work prior to September 13, 2024. *The Library reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any irregularities and/or informalities in any bid, and to make the award in the manner deemed in the best interest of the Library. Only bids submitted in accordance with the specifications will be considered. The work includes, but is not limited to, obtaining necessary permits, soil erosion & sedimentation control, demolition of existing pavements, partial removal of existing pavement base materials, installation of pavement edge drains, geogrid reinforcement, new pavement base material, concrete pavement, and pavement markings.
