Description: Overview and purpose The City of Red Bank is soliciting responses from consultants qualified to render traffic engineering services on an on-call basis. The City of Red Bank may award a Professional Services Contract, renewable annually, for an overall period not to exceed four (4) years, to one or more consultant(s). The selected consultant(s) shall: Be licensed to provide engineering services in the State of Tennessee Have proven experience with public sector engineering of similar size and scope for the services being requested. Possess a thorough understanding of the latest local, state and federal regulations, guidelines and ordinances applicable to typical municipal and traffic engineering requirements and responsibilities, including but not limited to Tennessee Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration Be available to commence services, as described herein, immediately as needs arise. Be able to complete the project within a specified and agreed upon time. Be able to immediately assign qualified personnel necessary to perform and complete the traffic engineering assignment. Anticipated scope of work and deliverables The city seeks to retain the services of a qualified consultant to provide on-call traffic engineering services. Individual work orders will be assigned to the selected consultant on an as-needed basis. Such services are anticipated to include, but may not be limited to: Develop/Review Traffic Impact Studies Traffic Engineering Studies to include Modeling. Transportation System Planning Recommendations Collection of traffic data, including average daily traffic, parking data, pedestrian data, and intersection peak hour traffic data Recommend roadway safety, traffic calming, access patterns, capacity performance, and intersection control improvements to address speeding and other safety-related issues, cut-through traffic, and encourage multimodal development.
