The City of Calgary is seeking a qualified consulting team, led by a landscape architecture or parks planning consultant, to provide consulting services for Phase 1 – Master Plan, including site inventory and analysis, regional park planning, conceptual design, habitat management planning, public engagement support to The City and Indigenous engagement planning and execution services. This RFP is intended to address consulting services associated with Phase 1 Master Plan of the Medicine Hill Regional Park project. The master plan phase will explore and address ongoing ways to preserve, enhance and celebrate Medicine Hill’s ecological, archaeological and cultural significance. An important objective of the project is to meaningfully and equitably engage and address the interests of interest holders and user groups through public and Indigenous engagement. The master plan document will guide the future development and management of a new regional park within the City of Calgary. The Consultant will work closely with a third-party historical resources consultant in the development of the master plan document. Future phases, including design to construction completion, will be engaged through a separate procurement process.
