Renovation of a mixed-use development in Montreal, Quebec. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and medical facility.
Upgrades and repairs to the Webster building of the Montreal Neurological Institute. The scope of work includes architectural, mechanical and electrical updates and repairs of mechanical and electrical systems for the removal of an existing 1.5T magnet, installation of a 9.4T magnet and development of a new MRI sector. In addition, the project included the demolition and reconstruction of partitions to ensure required dismantling and installation work. The project encompasses renovation of an area of 127.9 square meters in Basement 3 of the pavilion. Related work on the upper floors up to the roof will also be necessary for connections to the building electrical infrastructure and installation of new HVAC equipment on the roof. TIMELINE: The owner has awarded a general contractor for the project implementation following the invited tender C0004133/20025506. Construction is underway. Note. The contract was awarded by invitation without a public tender in accordance with Paragraph 4: Possibility of demonstrating that a public tender would not serve the public interest; Reasons: File 209139.
