Site work for a water / sewer project in Thornton, Colorado. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of May 1, 2024 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The Work for the project also includes, but is not limited to: all necessary piping, fittings, valves and operators, buried vaults, welding, blow-off assemblies, air vacuum valves, manways, cathodic protection systems, fiber optic conduits, fiber optic handholes/manholes, and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete and fully functioning raw water pipeline. Fiber optic cable installation, testing, and communications will be performed by others. All utility location verification, excavation, asphalt and concrete removal and replacement, backfilling, compaction, trench shoring, erosion control, fencing, traffic control, dewatering, permitting, surface restoration, pipes, valves, and testing, and site restoration to like new conditions shall be performed by the Contractor as part of the Work. (Phase 1 Pipeline) - Located within portions of Adams County, Weld County and the City of Thornton, Colorado. The Phase 1 pipeline generally follows Quebec Street from the north side of 168th Avenue at Quebec Street in Weld County to the south side of 120th Avenue west of Quebec Street. The Work includes construction of approximately 34,600 linear feet of 42-inch diameter fully welded steel pipeline, with major features including fiber optic conduit and handholes, a pipe tee stub to the future North Water Treatment Plant, 5 tunneled crossings with 54-inch diameter (minimum) initial support, and 5 open-cut drainage/ditch crossings with 54-inch diameter (minimum) steel casing g pipe. (Phase 2 Pipeline) - Located within portions of Adams County and the City of Thornton, Colorado. The Phase II pipeline begins at the south side of 120th Avenue west of Quebec Street and traverses south-southwest to the Wes Brown Water Treatment Plant (WBWTP) at Colorado Boulevard and 87th Avenue. The Work includes approximately 28,450 linear feet of 42-inch diameter fully welded steel pipeline, with major features including fiber optic conduit and handholes, a pipe tee stub and valve vault containing to allow for the delivery of water to the West Sprat Platte Reservoir, 6 tunneled crossings (one of which with an open-cut alternate) with 54-inch diameter (minimum) initial support, and 9 open-cut drainage/ditch crossings with 54-inch diameter (minimum) steel casing pipe. Package #3 (Wes Brown Tie-In Stage 2) - Located in the City of Thornton, Colorado. The Work includes ordering materials and equipment required to be installed as part of the Project. Timing of installation to be coordinated with WBWTP shutdown and maintenance schedules; excavation, dewatering, dewatering the 48-inch concrete cylinder pipe (CCP) pipeline, cutting in to the existing 48-inch nominal diameter CCP pipeline, furnishing, delivering, installing, and testing a 48x42 tee, 48-inch valve, 42-inch valve, valve manholes, fiber optic conduits, pavement removal and replacement, and associated Work shown on the drawings. Package #4 - (PRV and Meter Vault Project) - Located south of the intersection of 88th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard west of the Municipal Service Center (MSC) and east of the City of Thornton's Wes Brown Water Treatment Plant (WBWTP) and west of the South Platte River, in the City of Thornton. The Work includes pressure reducing sleeve valve vault, piping, and improvements in the future chemical building area. General Requirements - Bidder Prequalification/Preregistration Required - Bid Deposit Required - Contractors License Required - Installation Required - Insurance Required - License Required - Samples Required - Warranty Information Required Each Bid Proposal shall be submitted on form(s) furnished by Thornton and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid Proposal and made payable to the City of Thornton. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract Price, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held in the Community Room 130, at the Infrastructure Maintenance Center at 12450 Washington Street, Thornton, CO 80241, at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2024. All Prospective Bidders are required to attend. Substantial Completion Date: Contractor shall diligently and continuously perform and substantially complete all Work by December 31,2026
