The University of Oregon is accepting sealed bids for a construction project for the Earl Hall Complex - Window Replace and Façade Improvements Project located on the campus of University of Oregon, in Eugene, Oregon (Project). The Project includes the replacement of existing windows and exterior façade improvements. Question Deadline 01/19/2024 at 2:00 PM PT Clarifying questions must be submitted to George Bleekman (Owners Representative) via email at bleekman@uoregon.edu. The last day for submitting clarifying questions. Responses to all clarifying questions will be issued through addendum. Responses to questions submitted after this date and time will be at sole discretion of Owners Representative. Work covered by the Project Manual and Drawings consists of renovations at the Earl Hall Complex on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, including but not limited to: 1. Removal of quarry tile cladding, installing quarry tile cladding and/or metal panels and MCM panels; removal of select areas of wood storefront and replacement with aluminum storefront, and complete interior and exterior refurbishment of wood storefront and doors. B. All Contract Work for the project shall be performed between June 19, 2024 and August 30, 2024. Once the Contractor has begun work, it shall be continued uninterrupted and completed in a timely manner. The Work contemplated in this document shall be for the Owner in connection with the Project described in the Project Manual. Bids will be received on a lump-sum basis for all of the work. Prime bidders who arrive more than 5 minutes after start of time of the meeting (as stated in the solicitation and by the Owners Representatives watch) or after the discussion portion of the meeting (whichever comes first) shall not be permitted to sign in and will not be permitted to submit a bid on the Project Bidders submitting an electronic bid will receive an automatic email reply, if they select the box at the bottom that reads: send me a copy of my responses. Bidders that do not receive an automatic reply must telephone George Bleekman at 541-954-7413 to confirm receipt of the complete emailed document(s) before the Closing Date and Time. All bidders must comply with requirements of the prevailing wage law in ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870. All bidders must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board at the time of bid submission. No bid will be considered unless fully completed in the manner provided in the Instructions to Bidders upon the Bid Form provided and accompanied by Bid Security. Each Bid must be accompanied by either: 1) a cashiers check or a certified check drawn on a bank authorized to do business in the State of Oregon, or 2) a Bid Bond described hereinafter, executed in favor of Owner, for an amount equal to 10 percent of the total Bid amount as a guarantee that if awarded the contract the Bidder will execute the contract and give a Performance Bond and Payment Bond as required. The Contractors check or Bid Bond will be retained until the Contractor has entered into a Contract and furnished a 100 percent Performance Bond and 100 percent Payment Bond.
