Work To Be Done: The work shall generally consist of furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary to install the following (see Plans and Specifications for complete details and description): Construction of a new sanitary sewer lift station and force main, including, but not limited to, the following site clearing and grading, a new concrete wet well, installation of two submersible pumps and control panel, permanent bypass pump, electrical improvements, site perimeter fence, site lighting, miscellaneous associated items such as guiderails and brackets, valve vault, valves, and bypass discharge piping, as well as approximately 26,000 LF 16 HDPE force main running through cross-country terrain and GDOT R/W, including multiple jack & bores to taling approximately 1,000 LF, along with associated bends, valves, ARVs, utility crossings, erosion control, traffic control, rock removal, clearing & grubbing, and material testing. Also included are miscellaneous ancillary items for a complete and functional project. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. Question Deadline 01/15/2024 Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 5% of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful bidder if contract is awarded. Bid packages that do not include signed copies of required grant documentation will be considered incomplete / unresponsive and will be rejected. Bid documents shall include Wage Rate Determination, E-Verify documentation, Bonding Requirements and acknowledgement of addenda. Addendum may be issued during the bidding period. Bidders are responsible for addenda. Bids submitted without acknowledgement of all addenda will be rejected. This project may exceed $100,000 and therefore this project may be subject to the Public Works Construction Law, OCGA Sec. 36-91-1 et seq. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids and to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is not responsive or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner.
